The\nmethod is based on an unique combination of monoclonal dye\nconjugate and polyclonal solid phase antibodies to identify insulin\nin the test samples with a high degree of specificity.\nAs the test sample flows through the absorbent device, the labelled\nantibody-dye conjugate binds to the insulin forming an antibody-\nantigen complex. This complex binds to the anti-insulin antibody\nin the reaction zone (T) and produces a pink-rose coloured band.\nIn the absence of insulin, there is no line in the reaction zone (T).\nThe mixture continues flowing through the absorbent device past\nthe reactive zone (T) and control zone (C).
