NT-proBNP-CHECK-1 is a rapid screening test for the detection of human NT-proBNP in whole blood, serum or heparinized plasma serum samples to be used as a tool by medical healthcare professionals in assessing cardiac disorders such as congestive heart failure. The sole measurement of NT-proBNP concentration is not sufficient to diagnose heart failure or other cardiac dysfunctions. Additional clinical examinations such as echography or echocardiogram are generally necessary to confirm the diagnosis.
