Poly-Check Hemoglobin, a vital protein in red blood cells, is crucial for oxygen transport throughout the body. In fecal blood testing, hemoglobin gains significance as bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract can lead to its presence in the stool. Fecal blood, a potential indicator of various gastrointestinal disorders, can be challenging to detect due to silent symptoms. Visual examination alone may fall short, making the identification of blood in feces essential for revealing underlying gastrointestinal issues. Regular screening for fecal occult blood is recommended, especially from age 45, for early detection.
Poly-Check, an immunological rapid test specific for detecting hemoglobin in feces, distinguishes itself by eliminating the need for dietary restrictions common in guaiac tests.
